During your first dental check-up, you can expect your dentist to examine your teeth, gums, and mouth to make sure everything is healthy. Dr. Gustafson or Dr. Rankin will look for signs of cavities, gum disease, or other oral health issues. You’ll also have a professional cleaning, which removes plaque and tartar buildup that regular brushing and flossing can’t get rid of. If necessary, X-rays will be taken to see any problems that aren’t visible to the eye, like issues below the gum line.
We file most major dental insurance plans. Our office staff will work closely with you to help maximize your benefits and minimize out-of-pocket costs. If you’re unsure whether your plan is accepted, feel free to give us a call, and we’ll be happy to assist you.
